愛爾蘭頂級天碟《石頭的眼淚》

　　The Chieftains是一隊專門演奏愛爾蘭傳統音樂的六人樂隊。《石頭的淚滴》特別邀請了超過二十位音色各具特色的女歌手，合作灌錄十四首傳統愛爾蘭音樂，全部經Paddy重新編曲。全碟的人聲錄得非常靚，精準的口型有強烈的實體感，有不食人間煙火的超脫感。Track 2由Bonnie Raitt演唱，歌聲美妙，伴奏的吉它弦聲清晰無比。接著的一首歌的口琴引子清脆迷人，音場後方的笛聲非常逼真，帶出Natalie Merchant一流的唱功。Track5由Rankins三位姐妹花合唱，歌聲甜潤幼細，感染力醉人。Track6急促的吉它撥弦聲，加上The Corrs姐妹花整齊輕快的合唱，聲音悅耳和諧，錄音的通透細致靚到“數人頭”；小提琴與大提琴為音樂增添不少熱鬧的氣氛，低頻厚暖而活潑，層次感相當好，是一張令人感動的杰作。
愛爾蘭酋長樂隊（The　Chieftains）作為最著名的傳統愛爾蘭音樂的闡述者而在國際上被廣為尊崇。《休斯敦郵報》曾宣稱︰“如果說世界上還有一種比酋長樂隊所作的音樂更美妙的聲音，那我還從未听聞。”38年的演藝生涯中，酋長樂隊獲得了空前的成就，6次的格萊美大獎、在公告牌雜志200張全球經典唱片榜上名列前茅等，使其蜚聲世界樂壇。其著名的專輯有《長長的黑面紗》（The Long Black Veil）、《漫長的回家旅程》（The Journey Home）、《石之淚（Tears Of Stone）》等。朱哲琴于1996年訪問愛爾蘭都柏林時，即與酋長樂隊合作，參與了他們的著名專輯《石之淚》的錄制，演唱了歌曲《淚之湖》。
